Electrical Panel Upgrades in Keizer, OR

Most Keizer homes were wired for a different era. Before EV chargers, home offices, and updated kitchens became the norm, a 100-amp panel was plenty. Today it rarely is. Safety Home Services helps homeowners understand what their current panel can handle and what upgrading it would make possible.

Every job starts with a thorough assessment of your existing electrical system. We pull permits, coordinate with the utility company when needed, and see the job through from start to finish. We’re Qmerit-certified, every circuit gets tested before we leave, and we walk you through the new setup completely before heading out.

Save on Your Next Upgrade

Safety Home Services members receive 15% off all upgrades and installations, plus priority scheduling and an annual home electrical audit, for $14.95 per month.

Is It Time for a Panel Upgrade?

A Panel Upgrade Is More Than Swapping a Box

Every panel upgrade is different depending on your home’s current setup and what you’re looking to support going forward. Here’s what the process looks like from start to finish.

  • Evaluation of your current panel, load, and capacity needs
  • Permit application and utility coordination as required
  • Removal of the old panel and installation of the new one
  • Circuit testing before the work is signed off
  • Full cleanup with everything left neat and in order

Panel Upgrade Questions. Straight Answers.

Common signs include breakers that trip regularly, lights that dim when appliances kick on, or a panel that feels warm to the touch. If you’re planning to add an EV charger, a hot tub, or a home office with high-draw equipment, your current panel capacity is worth evaluating before any of that work begins. We’ll assess your setup and give you a straight answer on what your home actually needs.

Yes, financing is available through Wisetack, which works with multiple lenders, so more homeowners get approved than through a single source. Terms range from three to 60 months, checking your options takes under a minute, and it won’t affect your credit score. Ask about it when you reach out, and we’ll walk you through the details.

Most residential panel upgrades are completed within a single day. Jobs that require utility coordination or additional wiring work may take longer, but we walk you through the expected timeline before any work begins, so there are no surprises.

Yes, your power will need to be off for a portion of the job while the old panel is removed and the new one is installed. We coordinate the timing with you in advance and work efficiently to minimize the interruption. Most homeowners are back to full power the same day.

A panel replacement swaps out a failing or damaged panel for a new one of the same capacity, while an upgrade increases your home’s service size to support greater demand. Both involve similar steps, but an upgrade is the right call when your home’s electrical load has outgrown what the current panel was designed to handle. Our team will clarify which one your situation actually calls for during the assessment.

The electrician showed up on time and assessed the electrical issues on my girlfriends electrical panel at her house. The quote was free. He found there was a breaker that was incorrect for the panel and the main power breaker was somewhat corroded. He quoted us and then waited for the power company to shut off power and then fixed the issue promptly by installing a new correct breaker and then cleaning the panel. This was a big safety issue and the electrician waited patiently until our issue was resolved. The panel was sparking/arcing and created a fire hazard. As soon as the work was completed by Trevor the power in the home was working perfectly. We are grateful for the friendly and affordable service and especially how they were concerned with our safety and waited for the power company to turn off power and then fix our issue instead of rescheduling or going to a different job. Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!

I recently moved into my new home and had to have an EV charging plug installed and thought, well, might as well have extra outlets installed and ceiling fans too. The folks at Safety Home Services were so kind and responsive. Trevor at Safety home was able to give me an solution and start working on what needed to be done immediately. The solution and quote for everything that I needed to have done was about on par with what other places were quoting me. A bonus was the new monthly subscription at Safety Home that discounts 15% of any work done. Trevor was super professional and took time to explain all the ins and outs and made me feel good about the work that was being done. Being young and a first time homeowner can make it hard to trust whether people are being honest or trying to screw you over with work that has to be done on a home, but I never felt that way with Trevor and Victoria helping me out. They were super responsive and were always on time or communicative. I strongly recommend them for any first time homebuyers.

Safety provided excellent service! The tech (Kevin?) was a bit early, which was fine by me. I needed a new range hood/vent installed that I had already purchased on my own. He started by checking to see if the one I had was really dead or if there was a problem that could be remedied. He did discover that the fan wasn’t getting enough power to run and traced where the problem was coming from. He fixed it, but I wanted the new one installed anyway due to a color change. He got right to work getting the old one out and the new one in. He even made a trip to Home Depot to provide me with the correct light bulbs required, which I viewed as above and beyond. He was great to work with and I would recommend Safety to anyone in need of an electrician!
