Gresham Is Growing. Its Electrical Work Should Keep Pace.
Communicative, licensed electricians who show up on time, price jobs honestly, and clean up completely before leaving.

Certified Residential Electrical Services in Gresham, OR

Gresham is one of the larger cities in the Portland metro, with well-established neighborhoods and a homeowner base that has been investing in its properties for decades. Safety Home Services brings the same standard here that we carry throughout the Portland area and the Willamette Valley: arrive prepared, do the work right, and leave the space exactly as we found it.

Every visit begins with a 10-point safety assessment that looks beyond the obvious issue to check everything connected to it, so small problems don’t quietly grow into larger ones. Our electricians lay down floor protectors, wear floor savers, and clean up completely before leaving. The only sign we were there is the work itself.

Residential Electrical Work for Mid-Century Homes and Modern Upgrades

Gresham has a significant number of homes built in the mid-20th century, many with electrical systems that were never updated to handle modern demand. Panels running at capacity, wiring that predates today’s appliances, and circuits that weren’t built for a home office or EV charger are common scenarios we handle throughout the city.

For newer Gresham homeowners upgrading appliances, adding EV chargers, or investing in outdoor lighting and smart home systems, the priorities are different, but the standard of care is the same. One call gets you a licensed electrician who handles it correctly the first time.

We believe in making things simple, efficient, and thorough.

Most contractor frustrations come down to the same few things: unclear pricing, slow communication, and a space left messier than it started. Safety Home Services runs a different playbook. Every job begins with a clear, honest assessment, and ends with a home that’s been tested, cleaned up, and walked through with you before we head out.

See What Real Homeowners Have to Say

The electrician showed up on time and assessed the electrical issues on my girlfriends electrical panel at her house. The quote was free. He found there was a breaker that was incorrect for the panel and the main power breaker was somewhat corroded. He quoted us and then waited for the power company to shut off power and then fixed the issue promptly by installing a new correct breaker and then cleaning the panel. This was a big safety issue and the electrician waited patiently until our issue was resolved. The panel was sparking/arcing and created a fire hazard. As soon as the work was completed by Trevor the power in the home was working perfectly. We are grateful for the friendly and affordable service and especially how they were concerned with our safety and waited for the power company to turn off power and then fix our issue instead of rescheduling or going to a different job. Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!

I recently moved into my new home and had to have an EV charging plug installed and thought, well, might as well have extra outlets installed and ceiling fans too. The folks at Safety Home Services were so kind and responsive. Trevor at Safety home was able to give me an solution and start working on what needed to be done immediately. The solution and quote for everything that I needed to have done was about on par with what other places were quoting me. A bonus was the new monthly subscription at Safety Home that discounts 15% of any work done. Trevor was super professional and took time to explain all the ins and outs and made me feel good about the work that was being done. Being young and a first time homeowner can make it hard to trust whether people are being honest or trying to screw you over with work that has to be done on a home, but I never felt that way with Trevor and Victoria helping me out. They were super responsive and were always on time or communicative. I strongly recommend them for any first time homebuyers.

Safety provided excellent service! The tech (Kevin?) was a bit early, which was fine by me. I needed a new range hood/vent installed that I had already purchased on my own. He started by checking to see if the one I had was really dead or if there was a problem that could be remedied. He did discover that the fan wasn’t getting enough power to run and traced where the problem was coming from. He fixed it, but I wanted the new one installed anyway due to a color change. He got right to work getting the old one out and the new one in. He even made a trip to Home Depot to provide me with the correct light bulbs required, which I viewed as above and beyond. He was great to work with and I would recommend Safety to anyone in need of an electrician!

The Electrical Contractor Gresham Homeowners Keep Coming Back To

Safety Home Services has built its client base in the Portland metro the same way we have throughout Oregon: one well-done job at a time. Most of our new customers in Gresham come through referrals from people who’ve already used us, and that pattern tells us more about the quality of our work than any review could. Our electricians show up prepared, answer questions honestly, and treat every home with genuine care.

The Questions We Hear Most from Gresham Homeowners

A few things are worth paying attention to: breakers that trip frequently, a panel that still uses fuses, circuits that struggle when multiple appliances run at once, or a home that’s been updated but the panel hasn’t kept pace. Our electricians complete a thorough assessment on every visit, and if your panel is the issue, we’ll explain clearly what’s happening and walk you through your options.

Homes from that era often have panels and wiring that weren’t built for the way people use electricity today. That doesn’t automatically mean something is unsafe, but a closer look is worthwhile. Our 10-point safety assessment gives you a clear picture of where things stand before any work begins.

Yes. Outdoor and landscape lighting is a popular request throughout the Portland metro to help homeowners make the most of their property, day and night. We install path lighting, security and motion-activated fixtures, and exterior lighting of all kinds, all done to code and built to hold up through Oregon’s wet winters.

Start by checking your circuit breaker to see if anything has tripped. If the breaker looks fine and the outlet still isn’t working, it’s worth having a licensed electrician take a look. Outlets can fail for several reasons, and what seems like a minor fix sometimes points to something worth addressing more broadly. Our team assesses the full picture on every visit.
